Mezerj (Persian: مزرج)[a] is a city in the Central District of Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. It was the capital of Shirin Darreh Rural District[4] until the capital was transferred to the village of Yusef Khan.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 3,704 in 873 households, when it was a village in Shirin Darreh Rural District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 3,766 people in 1,061 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,834 people in 1,193 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

After the census, the village of Mezerj was elevated to the status of a city.[5]
